Modern Design Construction in Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky
Modern design depends on precision. Clean lines, honest materials, and carefully resolved details only work when the construction matches the vision. At Sun Builders, our vision is to blend art and construction. We’re a design/build general contractor serving Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, building modern commercial and residential spaces that are as well built as they are well designed.
What Modern Design Construction Means to Us
Modern projects often feature simple forms, generous light, and a deliberate mix of materials such as concrete, steel, wood, and glass. With so little ornament to hide behind, every joint, edge, and finish is visible. We bring curiosity and confidence to this work, and we always verify, so what’s built reflects what was designed.
Modern Design for Commercial and Residential Projects
Commercial:
tenant fit-outs, office remodels, retail interiors, galleries, salons, studios, and storefronts, including signage, lighting, and concrete details that give a business a distinct identity.
Residential:
kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home remodels, exterior modernization, outdoor environments, garages, and ADUs.
Whether you’re updating a dated storefront or reimagining a home exterior, we focus on how the space looks and how it works.
A Design/Build Partnership
Modern design benefits from collaboration between designer and builder from the start. With design/build, you bring the vision and we partner you with the design firms best qualified to create the design of your dreams. We work parallel to the designer during document development to ensure your project is within budget and within your required time frame. We then take the project through permitting and build with our experienced trade partners.
Already have completed drawings from your own architect or designer? Our general contracting service prices and builds them with full oversight from start to finish.
Attention to Detail Where It Shows
Modern work asks for care in areas that traditional construction can overlook:
• Clean transitions between materials
• Concealed or minimized trim and hardware
• Lighting designed to highlight surfaces and form
• Exacting layout, alignment, and finish quality
