Sun Builders was founded somewhere between an Earthship and a data center. Our passion for timeless design stirred with a background in "Mega Projects" creates a unique business model. We are able to offer the same processes used by billion-dollar construction companies but in a right-sized package to fit your needs. It is said that the construction industry is the slowest to change - we seek to break the stigma. We’ve learned traditional methods from some of the best, and most experienced builders across the country, but by adding our millennial mindset we are not afraid to utilize technology and the newest construction techniques to make your project a stellar success.

Nick had an excellent beginning of his career working for Cincinnati's "Green Machine" before pursuing his now wife to New York City. There, he worked as part of a team to manage the $750M budget to restore the iconic George Washington Bridge. Then this thing called the corona virus happened and the happy couple moved to Durango, CO where Nick took the role as a Project Manager with an established custom home builder. Just before taking the leap into entrepreneurship, Nick spent 3 years in project management roles for a top 25 builder on a range of projects from hospitals to data centers. Nick holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Eastern Kentucky University as well as a master's in business administration from the University of Kentucky.
